I am an experienced teacher, tutor and examiner of 10 years, who specialises in Sociology and Psychology tuition, revision and exam preparation.
With my dedicated support, many of my students have gone on to score 100% in units and improve by several grades. In my time as subject leader I supported my students to consistently perform at an above the national average.
My approach
Planned, personalized and passionate tutoring education.
I provide my tutees with thorough tutoring input, aimed at encouraging them to make full, clear, concise class notes. Homework and revision materials are provided weekly after each tutoring input specifically aimed at maximising success, ensuring understanding and exam question practice. Exam question practice will provided to tutees and marked as it would be by official examiners in live exams – strengths and weaknesses can then be addressed. Throughout the tutoring process I provide students with a variety of revision resources and a large bank of past paper questions.
My approach to tutoring is teaching in an engaging and passionate manner. I make no apologies for the love of all aspects of my subjects and believe they foster greater self-awareness and understanding of a student’s place in the community and society.
I also pride myself on holding the highest standards for myself, but also supporting my students to do the same. My sessions are organised and professional, following a flexible structure that enables students to improve their recall of key knowledge, understand new concepts and topics, but also how to revise efficiently and effectively and apply all they have learnt to the required exam board framework. I am open and honest about progress with both my tutees and their parents.

Initially my choice to study Psychology was quite daunting as I had no prior experience when I began.
